Fellowship Status

An applicant for Fellow status shall have made a significant contribution to the field of genitourinary imaging. The applicant shall be engaged in the practice, teaching or research of genitourinary imaging. He or she must have been an Active member in the Society for at least two years before applying for fellow status. The applicant must demonstrate ongoing interest in genitourinary tract disease and should devote a significant portion of time and effort to the study of the normal and abnormal genitourinary system.

Fellow status can be bestowed upon physicians practicing radiology, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, urology, nephrology, pathology and other individuals whose qualifications are deemed acceptable to the Membership Committee. Fellows are assessed annual dues, hold the right to vote, may serve on committees, and are the only member category eligible for the elected offices of President, President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer and Directors-in-Succession or for the appointment as committee chair (standing committees) or Program Director. Fellows are also eligible for election to the position of Director-at-Large.
