Membership Information (Regular members) The Society of Uroradiology was incorporated in 1974. Its primary purpose is to promote interest in the imaging of the genitourinary tract with emphasis upon the integration of roentgenology, sonography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, interventional procedures and nuclear medicine. In 1995, the SUR changed its by-laws and mission statement, opening its membership to all physicians and scientists with an interest in the practice, teaching and research of genitourinary imaging. The SUR meets annually, holds a scientific session and sponsors an educational course. Application Instructions An applicant for Active membership shall have an expressed interest in genitourinary imaging. The Active membership shall include physicians practicing radiology, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine, urology, nephrology, pathology and other individuals whose qualifications are deemed acceptable to the Membership Committee. Active members are assessed annual dues, hold the right to vote and may serve on, but not chair, standing committees. Active members may chair and serve on ad hoc committees at the pleasure of the president. Active members are eligible for election to the position of Director-at-Large.
